Licence To Work

The Youth Employability Programme and Licence to Work came about as a result of businesses and industry, expressing concerns that many young people are not developing the employability skills needed to succeed in the workplace. The programme provides a sequence of learning activities to build the skills employers have said they want to see.

The Licence to Work Programme Includes:

 

  • 18 hours of workshops teaching the 7 employability skills
  • 10 hours of voluntary work
  • 80 hours of work experience
  • Plus much more eg career planning, business basics, safety courses, drivers licence, first aid, budgeting, hauora/health & wellbeing, going flatting, buying a house
